Question 1

What does TutorDevOps do?

Accepted Answer

We design and build software: web platforms, mobile apps for iOS and Android, online stores and the cloud systems behind them. One team handles the whole product, from the first sketch to launch and support.

Question 2

Do you still offer tutoring?

Accepted Answer

Tutoring is where we started in 2020, helping university students learn to code. Today we focus on building software for businesses, but that teaching habit stays: we explain every decision in plain language.

Question 3

Do you work with clients outside South Africa?

Accepted Answer

Yes. We're based in South Africa and work remotely with clients anywhere. Most collaboration happens over video calls, shared boards and regular demos of working software.

Question 4

Who will I be working with?

Accepted Answer

A small, senior team. Calvin, our CEO and senior developer, leads the engineering on every project, and the rest of the team looks after admin, communication and growth. You talk directly to the people building your product, not a sales desk.

Question 5

How much does a project cost?

Accepted Answer

It depends on scope. Websites usually start from around R30k, and most mobile apps and platforms we build land between R80k and R500k, with larger platforms above that. After a short discovery call we send a fixed written quote with scope, milestones and cost, so you know the number before any work starts.

Question 6

How long does a project take?

Accepted Answer

Fast. A website or a focused first version of an app usually takes 2 to 4 weeks, and a full platform with a mobile app, dashboard and backend typically takes 2 to 4 months. We ship in weekly releases, so you can use and test the product from the first weeks. Your quote includes a timeline with milestones.

Question 7

Can you take over an existing project?

Accepted Answer

Yes. We start by reviewing the code, hosting and documentation, then tell you plainly what's working, what's risky and what we'd change first.

Question 8

Do you offer support after launch?

Accepted Answer

Yes. We monitor what we ship, fix issues, release app store updates and keep improving the product after launch.

Question 9

Do I own the code?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Once the project is paid, the code, designs and accounts are yours.

Question 10

Do you build for both iOS and Android?

Accepted Answer

Yes. We build cross-platform apps from one codebase with Ionic, Capacitor or Flutter, so both platforms launch together, and we handle the app store submissions.

Question 11

Which technologies do you use?

Accepted Answer

React, Next.js and Angular on the front end; .NET, Python, FastAPI and Node.js on the back end; Supabase, PostgreSQL and SQL Server for data; and Azure, AWS and Docker for hosting. We pick what suits your product, not the other way round.

Question 12

Can you integrate with the systems we already use?

Accepted Answer

Usually, yes. We connect to payment gateways, maps, messaging, accounting tools and internal systems through their APIs.
